HCSA is excited to announce our newest youth program - Kickin' it in P.E.!
For 2018 we have been invited to several elementary schools in Watauga and Avery county to come teach the P.E. classes for 3-4 days of a week. The focus of this program is to collaborate with P.E. teachers in Watauga and Avery counties in order to provide professional soccer instruction in the classroom. Our coaching staff have developed a curriculum that aligns with North Carolina Public Schools Healthful Living Standards. Our curriculum is meant to be educational for students of all ages as well as fun and appropriate for players of any level of experience. The purpose of our program is to educate students on the benefits of participating in sport related activities that will contribute to a health lifestyle. Our hope is to inspire students to get involved in a sport related activity that will contribute to their lifelong health and well-being and develop healthy habits that will continue into adulthood.
We are thankful to all of the schools and teachers that have invited us to be involved in their classrooms and we are excited to work with students all across the High Country in the upcoming year!
"I thought William and the HCSA brought an incredible soccer program to Bethel School. William's willingness, professionalism, communication, and delivery were remarkable. From setting up the visit, his flexibility to changes (for snow days and delays), and his teaching, made for an outstanding soccer unit. From the time the students walked in, William had them warming up with a soccer ball, he then transitioned to performing drills, and wrapped up with scrimmages. Each day the students had a blast, and learned a great deal about soccer, and how to improve their performance in it. I am beyond pleased and would strongly recommend this program for any school, and also look forward to having him back at Bethel soon."
